Financial AdvisorDavid has worked for over 45 years in the Financial Services Industry – 25 years with the Bank of Nova Scotia in various management positions and 21 years as an independent advisor with the same financial planning firm.
With his considerable and diverse experience David is able to understand his client’s needs and develop a financial plan to address their present and future financial goals. His belief is that financial planning is not just looking after investments but developing a relationship of trust wherein information passes freely because the more we know about our clients the better job we can do in assisting them.
Over the years David has completed numerous financial courses including the Canadian Investment Funds Course and obtained the Elder Planning Counselor designation in 2006. David currently volunteers as a director of the Cape Breton Coastal Development Corporation assisting small businesses. In the past, he was director and Commodore of the Royal Cape Breton Yacht Club along with treasurer for the Halifax Association of Feed the Children.
He and his wife Pat, reside on the Mira River where he enjoys fishing and boating with his grandchildren.
