Sandy Macneill is a sole practitioner of public accounting and financial consulting. He has operated this practice for the last twenty years and prior to forming his own practice he was a Senior Manager in the Sydney office of Deloitte & Touche, and was responsible for financial special services in Cape Breton and Eastern Nova Scotia. He joined Deloitte & Touche in 1978 after earning his Bachelor of Commerce degree from Dalhousie University. He obtained his Chartered Accountant designation in 1986.
Mr. Macneill was the responsible person for many audit assignments, including six engagements with a Crown Corporation involved in economic development, three years with a municipal government, and fourteen years with a university student's union. He was engaged under service contracts to provide audit services on behalf of the Auditor General of Canada, he has also provided auditing services in respect of commercial fraud involving employee theft. Mr. Macneill has been involved in providing audit and other services to a number of non-profit societies involved in cultural and recreational activities.
